Nuance Communications Narrows 4Q Loss

Nuance Communications Inc., which makes speech recognition and digital imaging software, posted a smaller fiscal fourth-quarter loss Thursday, fueled by strong demand across its speech markets as well as acquisitions.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, the company posted a net loss of $3.4 million, or 2 cents per share, compared with a loss of $7.2 million, or 4 cents per share, during the same period a year earlier. [click heading for more]
